LOOKING FOR OFFICIAL EVENT REGISTRATION?
Visit Sport Singapore’s Play Inclusive page for organiser information and the current participation route. This is an independent guide by Momentum Academy, not an official event or registration website.
What is Play Inclusive?
Play Inclusive is organised by SportCares with Special Olympics Singapore and the Singapore Disability Sports Council, supported by the Ministry of Education. It brings people with and without disabilities together through sport.
The official page describes teams involving athletes with intellectual disabilities and partners without disabilities, known as Unified Partners. Participants are grouped by ability through a process called divisioning. Partners help teammates take part rather than taking over the game.
Is boccia part of Play Inclusive?
Sport Singapore lists boccia among the sports featured in the 2025 edition. Check the organisers’ information for the sports, formats and requirements of the edition you want to join. A past listing does not confirm a future place or programme.
If boccia is new to your group, begin with what boccia is, then learn how the jack, turn order and scoring work. Understanding the basic game gives you a clearer starting point when discussing training with the organisers.
How to check participation and registration
Use the official Play Inclusive page to contact the organising team. Confirm the current edition and ask which route applies to your school, organisation, participants or volunteers. If a page refers to an earlier edition, ask about the next confirmed opportunity.
Before making arrangements for a team, clarify:
- The participant eligibility and team composition for your chosen sport.
- The registration process, closing dates and any documents required.
- The preparation or training expected and who should supervise it.
- The applicable rules, equipment and ability assessment process.
- Venue access, transport, supporting adults and event-day arrangements.
Keep the organiser’s written confirmation with your planning documents. This guide does not confirm event places, eligibility or entry requirements on their behalf.
Planning a separate inclusive boccia session
You may simply want your students, colleagues or community group to experience an inclusive game together. That can be a different brief from preparing a team for a named competition.
For a first session, decide what people should leave knowing: how to aim at the jack, how to take turns, or how to listen to a teammate’s idea. Then plan practice time and a short game around the group. Read our inclusive sports planning guide for practical questions about space, communication and support.
For a school group, ask how students will share decisions and what teachers want to discuss afterwards. For corporate volunteers joining community participants, clarify who provides support and how players keep control of their own choices. These details are worth discussing before choosing a competitive format.
Can Momentum Academy help with boccia?
Momentum Academy coordinates enquiries for school boccia programmes, corporate sessions and community activities. Share your group, experience, venue and goals through our programme enquiry form.
A booking through this website is separate from Play Inclusive. We do not claim to organise the event, register teams for it or provide training that automatically satisfies its requirements. If your goal is event participation, obtain the organiser’s requirements first and include them when discussing any coaching brief.
